Chevrolet Cruze is the globally developed mid-sized sedan of General Motors automobile. It was introduced in 2001 globally and in India it was launched in 2009 October. It can proudly claim to be the first global model introduced by General Motors in India. In order to compete with other D-Segment cars quoted attractive price tag in India. The Cruze costs range between 11 lacs and 12.5 lac rupees. A team of global engineers and designers from GM developed this compact premium sedan being manufactured at various places worldwide. So far only diesel engine Chevrolet Cruze has been rolled out in Indian market, with three variants and is with both manual and automatic transmissions.

Chevrolet Cruze has 2.0L VCDi diesel engine with the displacement of 4-cylinder 1991 cc. It comes with five-speed manual gear box, automatic transmission is also available as optional feature. The engine can churn out maximum power of 150 bhp at the rate of 4000 rpm and 320 Nm maximum torque at the rate of 2000 rpm. As a result, it delivers superb acceleration. This five-seat premium sedan dimensions in its length, width, height and wheelbase are 4597 mm, 1788 mm, 1477 mm and 2685 mm respectively and with the minimum turning radius of 5.45 meters.

Chevrolet Cruze is one of the best performing sedans. This luxurious sedan rolls out a smooth brilliant acceleration and churning the best known torque and power in its class. As a result it can reach 100 kmph in just 9.7 seconds and achieves a top speed of 184 kmph. The VCDi technology in Chevrolet Cruze promises and ensures brilliant fuel efficiency. It can give the mileage of 14 kmpl in city-traffic and on highways it can give the mileage of 18.3 kmpl, which was approved by ARAI (Automotive Research Association of India). Also quite popular is the Chevrolet Beat car model in the hatchback segment.

Chevrolet Cruze exterior has unique features like electronic sunroof and rain sensing wipers. The attractive new logo of Chevrolet is placed at the center of double front grille, which is definitely eye-catchy. Its huge head lamps add additional attraction to its exterior. Furthermore the exterior is beautified with chrome coated door handles, twin-cockpit theme, dynamic shaped headlamps, dual port front grille, concave shoulder line and more. Chevrolet Cruze interior is perfectly designed. Its graven seats give good support and comfort to the passengers. Leather upholstery and the stylish dashboard with dual beige tone make the ambience more attractive.
